How Exactly to clean clearcoat off aluminum wheels?

Hi, I have read about the best way to clean clear coat off aluminum wheels.



But I'm not sure off the process, I know I'm going to need aircraft stripper and some steel wool ( not sure what grade of steel wool)?



Can anyone tell me the process that I'm going to need to go through? Any help is much appreciated.



My rims look very similar to the ones found on this post.

I used Dekote paint stripper from Eastwood Co., a couple plastic paint scrapers and fine grit paper to get into the "tight spots".

As stated above I have used Aircraft stripper or a similar stripper in strength, and a fine grit sand paper to get any spots the stripper does not completely remove. I have not had any experience using steel wool for this.
