How does Spray N Whipe not scratch the paint?

This has been bugging me for a while--I've never used the stuff before but I can't see how something you spray on and whipe off won't scratch your paint--How clean or better yet, how dirty does a car need to be before you shoudln't use this stuff?

Thanks,

JS

Spray and Wipe works. How? :dunno But it works!

Keep in mind that whatever you wipe off is in the MF that you are dragging across your paint. So mud, leaves and their parts, bugs and their parts need special attention. If possible I hose off those areas. I just coat the stuff with S&W, let it sit a couple of minutes. Then I hose it down or even splash with water in a bucket. Then I clean the area with S&W and an MF. DON'T continue to use that MF. Otherwise, S&W and enough clean MF will work on your car without scratches. :bigups

I thought perhaps it was the MF doing the cleaning. So I used some various detail sprays in the same fashion. I go some scratches that way. :nono

Just try it on a small easily buffable area until you are satisfied that it works without scratching.

I ordered a bottle of S&W recently, and I was also confused at how it was any different than a quick detailer, and it seems that the composition of it has a tendency to stay wet longer so that you spray it on an area and wipe, and the S&W gets onto the MF and stays on it to absorb any dirt you run it over. I suppose it could be like if you had a towel made of car wash + soap and you used that to clean the paint.

Er uh, well anyway the stuff works awesome!

BTW, I've been a long time lurker here. You guys do amazing stuff!

I don't believe S&W is considered a quick detailer. Once a month I use QD+ and after each S&W I use a real QD like Meguairs "Last Detail" or "Final Inspection."

I use S&W as a cleaner and then use a QD like Adams, 1Z Lackfinish, Crystal Mist, Clear Pearl or UGE depending on what sort of LSP I have and the look I'm after.
