How does my product line up look? Also, extractor advice?

I am new to the forum but not to detailing. As a hobby, I buy/sell sports cars "4-6 per year." I always do a good job prepping them before a sale but wanted to get a little more serious. I have a Porter Cable 7424 and usually use 3M/store bought products. All of my Lake Country pads are dried up and pretty much useless, so I was thinking the three that came with the Wolfgang kit should suffice? I have done a little research over the last few days and here is what I came up with.

303 Aerospace Protectant

Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover Kit 3.0

California Jelly Blade

The Guzzler Combo Kit

12 pack Cobra Mango Breeze Microfiber Towel

Duragloss Nu-Glass #755

White/Yellow ShMITT Wash Mitt

Stoner Tarminator

Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Bar Kit

Zaino Z-9 Leather Spray Cleaner

Zaino Z-10 Leather in a Bottle

Zaino Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss

Before finding this site, I also looked around for a nice littler carpet cleaner/extractor. I was finding machines that cost anywhere from $500-$2000. After finding this site, I see a lot of people talking about the Bissell 1425B Little Green Proheat Turbo Carpet Cleaner. Since I only do 4-6 full details a year, would this machine do the trick? What is the proper way to clean the carpets in a vehicle?

1. Vacuum

2. Mist Folex onto carpet

3. Use Cyclo White Standard Carpet Brush attached to Porter Cable to agitate

4. Extract with hot water in Bissell machine

5. Let air dry

Sound right? How does my list sound for personal use? Check out some of the vehicles I have owned/detailed recently. BTW, whenever I just put the Cardomain link its adds all the extra for sale, mods, location etc into my post? :think2

Your carpet cleaning method looks fine. As far as the Bissel, if you only do 6 details a year on relatively light soil, it will probobly do fine. On a vehicle with above average dirt, your going to be there a while with the Bissel.

Is there a decent heated extractor priced below $500?

Yes you can, do a google search and do your homework. Ideally, I prefer an extractor with atleast 100psi but unless you buy used, you probobly won't find one for $500. Go with atleast 60 PSI minimum. Your best bet is to look around locally, see if you can find a carpet cleaning distributor. etc. Look hard, even if its an hour away its worth it. That way if it breaks, you go local to fix it, not shipping it halfway across the country,

I know that if you keep your eye on Craigs list I've heard of a few people picking up Mytes and the like for around $400-$500 in great condition.

I just bought a Bissel LG, but have yet to use it on a detail. It works well around the house, so far. A lot of people like to just use your method listed above, but then use a wet/dry vac for extraction.

That Wolfgang kit is too expensive for what you get. Do you have a Porter Cable? If you do you'll need more than 3 pads to detail a car, anyway.

Don't get the Jelly Blade; those things make me nervous. I had one and tossed it.
