How do you Like Me Now? Website REVISIONS

I like the Flash site, but I have no idea how long it takes to load on a dialup line. That may be a consideration.

The only problem I have with the Flash in this case is that the background needs to fade out more when you go to one of the inner pages.

You might give people a choice of either Flash or HTML.

I still don't get it either...

Loose the "loading" part and get right to the home page

The numbers still make no sense, looks like a Chinese Take Out menu, just put the title in place of the number.

The "contact" thing is very distracting.

IMO people have a tendency to get to fancy with web site gimmicks. Don't make your visitor work to get info, get it in front of him immediately. Keep it simple and get your message across. Flash doesn't sell... unless you're selling Flash of course.

I'm not sure what the fixation is with the teal color but it's not very appealing. The color of "Jimmy Buff-It's" in the picture you have of the van looks more like a blue...which would be better IMO.

If your developer has photoshop he can get the exact blue from that picture by using the paint dropper.

I liked the site.

forward and back buttons need labeled, contact us needs to be slowed down, if not frozen. and it did take away to load on my slow a** dial up, but I'm patient.:D

It is going to choke dialup users. I can say that because I have dialup at home and its been loading up the front page for like 3 minutes now. Its not even half way loaded. There are still a lot of people out there on dialup and I don't know how many of them are going to want to wait for ten minutes just to get in the site. If possible then I think you should have a "skip intro" button or something so that people don't have to wait.

I like the Obsessive Compulsive Detailing part. ;) That is actually the name of my business and I think its one of the more creative names I've seen. For people who really are obsessive about detailing, I think they will get it. They may not even be that obsessive themselves. I think they like knowing that the person caring for their car is obsessive about it. :xyxthumbs

I have to agree with everybody else. The background has to go. Its just not really working. The whole site seems off centered with it back there. I would probably center the top text and change the color behind the numbers on the left colum. Just so it doesn't look so off center. I'm not a website design artist, so I'm sure the pro that is helping you can figure out the asthetics of the whole thing. Its a pretty cool site concept even though it is really slow to load. I think your viewing audience is going to exclude dialup users.

Oh, one other comment that is more Autopian in nature... I don't really like the picture of the red truck with the products and rotary on the hood. You should take that picture again but put a towel under the products or something. I am sure that you have the upmost care for the vehicles that enter your shop, but I wouldn't take my car to someone who looks at it as a large coaster to set their products on. Showing that you take enough care to put something between the bottles and the paint will help comfort a customer to know that you are going to take extreme care of their paint. Its just a thought.

Sorry Jim but its waaayyyy worse. Very difficult to read the text on that backround. Also I can't remember what number I looked at so found myself reloading the same page over and over.

I just saw it and I think you need to tell your developer to just start with scratch and stop using Flash. Not that Flash isn't a great tool but I think that after 2 revisions it is probably in your best interest to forgo this route. Another idea might be to find some other detailing websites or any website for that matter that you like and show him so he gets an idea of what you want. You're selling a service that is about convenience, excellence, and 100% care for the customer and his car. I think its best to come across as simple but bombard the customer with your merits regarding cars, not web design. And of course....you could always get a copy of DreamWeaver or Frontpage, or even look around Autopia for some people to help you out with a site.
