How do you guys get at the roof?

Hi, I've been lingering here for awhile now, first time post. I was wondering how you guys get at the roofs of your cars? do u have a box you stand on or what? or do people just skip the roof? :nixweiss it seems to me that it would require great effort...

I can reach my roof with no problems. When I detail trucks/SUVs, I have a small stepladder that I use to reach the roof.

Small step ladders work. I use one of the rubbermaid 2 step things. ( I also stand in the back of my pick up.)

I'm barely 5'4" so every roof is a challenge....I use a good old fashioned milk crate for the Solara, and a step ladder for the SUV.

I have a 3 step ladder just for the hood of my wife's lifted Dodge. To get to the roof?? That acrobatics.

For the SUVs, I also use a small stepladder to reach the roof. I have padding on the side to protect the cars finish. The up and down is getting old; I'm looking into one of those 2, or better yet, 3 step platforms so I don't have to go up and down so much (about 5 times per step with the Expy).
