thats weird, i find it the most effective on the horizontal surfaces of cars. it significantly reduces the amount of water you have to wipe off in my experience
I myself personally go with the toro leaf blower... hehe.. to untrap all of the hidden water in the car.. I follow with a big drying towel.. the kind from target.. I was quite impressed for how good they actually work! I then finish by blowing once more to ensure full dryness.
An excellent idea for a poll! when will I be able to see a graph?
Personally, I use a leaf blower, and slam all doors to remove water from cracks, then I usually have somebody behind me wiping access off with a terry cloth. Finally I use another dry towel to finalize it. Some times I use spray wax with the last step as well
i only use 2 regular size microfiber towels to dry my whole car. i use the first to get the majority of the water. this towel gets wrung out quite often. i use the second towel to get what the first leaves behind. i want to try waffle weave, because i hear so many great things about them. but for now, this process works just fine.
