How do you dry

I always do the interior first, and the windows last. That means I can leave the windows open during the rest of the detail, to allow airflow through the car, which will dry out the interior.

I don't have the windows down during any heavy polishing that would create dust.

By the time I'm ready to do the windows, the interior is mostly, if not completely, dry.



BTW, where in Wisconsin are you?

In Rhinelander.



What do you do in the winter? Do you have any problems with the seats or floors drying?
 
I detail in my garage so in the winter I have kerosene heater running and the interior dries in a reasonable amount of time. In the summer when I finish detailing a vehicle if it's nice out I just put the windows down a little and let it air dry.

I was looking at an air mover in the hopes the interior would dry faster.



What do you think?

I don't detail in the winter. I did an exterior-only detail on December 21st, and I realized that it's just too cold to detail in Wisconsin during the winter.



I do continue to wash and wax my car though. :)

I have some halogen lights that I use partially as heaters in the garage. Plus I drive around ahead of time to fill the engine bay and cockpit with warm/hot air and use that to my advantage when I pull it in the garage.





BTW, I'm moving to Stevens Point this summer to attend UWSP. Do you know anything about the summer camp in Rhinelander that is supposed to be owned by UWSP?

I hear ya about the winters in WI! I cleaned the interior of a friends car in Dec too and couldn't get the interior to dry fast enough.



No I haven't hear anything about that. What are you going to school for?
