How do you clean/protect YOUR rubber trim.

I feel the two strips I have that connect my door to my window are going to make my car look ugly in the spring if I keep detailing them as I do now. I clean them when I wash my car and use Aerospace303 or the Klasse rubber treatment.

They are never truly black, I think it's because I can't get the clean enough, what do you use to clean your rubber trim really well.

Secondly, the protectant never really soaks in, I think this is caused by my first problem, the rubber isn't clean so it won't absord the protectant evenly.

I know David B has used Wurth rubber protectant, has anyone else tried this product or had great results with anything else?

I recently took a chance and got some of 4 Star's vinyl and rubber protectant. I am amazed with it. It does everything you just said you were disappointed that your other products didn't do. I haven't used it enough to give a throrough review on it yet, but I can say that I really like it alot. :up :up

4 Star is www.premiumautocare.com They are the same guys that make Platinum. Good stuff. You gotta try their QD while you are at it. Its the best non carnauba QD I've ever seen. That site is just loaded. Kinda like CMA but with better shipping. :xyxthumbs :p

4 Star 4 Star.... now I remember. I have a Platinum mouse pad and it says 4 Star Products right on it, I look at the stupid thing everyday and I still forgot. Shows you where my mind is (la la land).

Thanks for the link.

BTW, do you ever use there paint cleaner before their sealent? I have never ever touched the stuff.

Does it hides swirls like Zaino and last more than two washes?

Nah. I'm a Klasse man. I doubt that it could be better than AIO as a base. I've got tons of AIO so there really isn't any need to switch just yet.

I'm using Klasse AIO myself, just wondering if you have found anything better as a prep product. I don't want to waste time trying to find another product when AIO works so well.
