There is an all rubber soft bristle brush specifically made for removing hair out of carpeting..
It will use static electricity to gather the hair, fur, etc., in one place in front of the brush so you can move it away from the area to a spot where you can vacuum it all up, for example...
I believe I have even seen a brush like that at Petsmart...
