How can NITRO SEAL look any better than HD POXY?

Most of you who read my threads, know that I consider HD POXY the best looking LSP of all the waxes/sealants

I have ever used.

For me, Poxy has all the qualities I look for in an LSP. You get gloss, shine, depth and and to top it off, Poxy is very wet looking.

What is also great about Poxy is that it works on all colors. Makes detailing simple.

So when Tunch says that NITRO SEAL is the best product he has made in 25 years... I was really excited to try it out.

I mean he is
more proud of it than even HD UNO????

This is my second try using NS, my wife's van was the first vehicle I put it on, although only the front of the van was sealed with NS.

Because the van got rained on less than a day after application, I have to redo it again. Look for it in a week or so.

My car: The paint on it is not in great shape anymore after 11 years.

However it is often polished and always has protection on it, so it looks OK - but the color is great to test out products on.

So here is what I did.

Step 1 - 3D PINK SOAP FOAM - left on for about 4 minutes

Step 2 - 3D PURPLE CLAY (aggressive)

Step 3 - HD UNO & HD GREEN & HD RED PADS

This is how the car looked after polishing

Step 4 - HD NITRO SEAL PART A (GG PC & Blue Pad, Speed 2.5)

Step 5 - HD NITRO SRAL PART B (GG PC & Black Pad, Speed 2.5)

IMG_7732.jpg

NS Part B is curing

9.03.2011, about 4pm Saturday - I called it a day

I let NS cure for 48 hours just because I took the weekend off :D

9.05.2011, 5:30pm

Step 6 - HD UNO on wheels for a quick polish

Step 7 - 3D ULTRA PROTECTANT - Tires

Step 8 - Removing NS From Paint

At this point it was close to 7pm so I decided to pull the car outside and take these pictures.

So what do I think.....????

To be honest I was a bit worried first because what if NS only looks as good as Poxy? I was sent samples to try it and do what?

Tell 3D: Hey Tunch, thanks for the free samples, now my car is really well protected but the look is not an improvement over POXY,

so see ya!!!!

I mean I read Barry's and David's glowing reviews on NITRO SEAL, but both guys are somewhat new to the "HD look", if you

know what I mean.

I, on the other hand, have been using UNO/POXY almost daily for the last 2 years and I am used to the HD look.

But, on the other hand, if NITRO SEAL looked "only" as good as POXY, in my book that would be a great accomplishment because

now you have a product that not only looks fantastic, but it will outlast most other LSPs of its kind.

Here is what I think: Not only does NS look as good as POXY, it looks BETTER. Actually, a lot better.

The gloss is off the charts.

The paint is swirled up, far from perfect, yet my car NEVER looked better. Ever

On another note...

After the 3D Open House gig, a group of us sat with Tunch for several hours, chatting about all sorts of things. I have been meaning to say how impressed I was with Tunch. His excitement for his company and our industry is obvious, and what a down to earth guy. He talks fast, but I did notice that he listens attentively. From the stories he told, his life has been anything but dull.

Very few people in this world have guts (which you need in order to take a risk), fortitude (to push through obstacles), luck (interesting how the harder you work, the luckier you get), intelligence (to recall your studies, form a plan, and put the plan into action), success (in reaching one's aspirations), and happiness (so it seems, or perhaps I hope it to be). It seemed that Tunch had a good mix of the characteristics I've mentioned.

Sure, I suppose my assessment of Tunch is full of assumptions. These are the things I saw, or felt about Tunch.

He was a lot of fun to talk with, and I had a great time, the whole time. All the other guys were cool, too. :panda:

Finally, I appreciate that Tunch spent his hard earned money footing the bill for us all... I went home with a full belly and a smile on my face.

Always late to the party, but I'm going to get in on the Nitro Seal within a week - weather permitting. BTW - your car looked amazing!

Looks awesome on that blue, super glossy and wet. It's hard to believe that model Jetta is already 11 years old. It's still a nice shape, not as amorphous as some of the newer ones.

That makes at least two of us. I passed out like a log after dinner. Great getting to chat with everyone for so long though!

Wow Kevin,

this is one of the best compliments I had for some time. Thank you very much for your comments. There is one thing that I want to confirm among the things you mentioned; Yes I am a happy person overall and thanks to my wife making this happen (30 years this November 17th and counting; by the way its the first marriage as well :lol) and we have a wonderful daughter.

Likewise I have enjoyed that night very much and enjoyed your company and knowledge. Hope we can repeat this on an great steak dinner in Vegas at the SEMA show November 1-4 if you will be there as our guest. 3D will be exhibiting.

See you soon,

Tunch Goren

Thanks everyone for the kind replies.

The paint actually starting to look better. It also feels very very slick. NS is everything one would want.

Thanks Tunch for another great product.

paixim - it is getting dusty outside during daytime. I will take a video of it when I wash it for sure. I have a feeling that we will like the reaction of water over NS. :D

Kevin, I agree with you about Tunch. A sincerely nice guy. I enjoyed another dinner with him the night before and I was very happy that the owner of 3D is a down to earth guy (and spiritual)
