How can Autopia get better?

Excellent ideas across the board. Especially the Facebook mention from you John. We'll definately be discussing each and every one of them in a round table meeting soon. In the meantime, keep the comments (both positve and negative) comments rolling!
 
We're also in the process of revising each sub-forum. Does anyone have any suggestions with adding or dropping of any categories?



One change will be adding an "Epic Threads" sub-section that will be excellent reading information for both members and visitors. This will include a compilation of ground breaking threads that contained excellent information/discussions. Sort of like our "Guide to Detailing" section, much different.

A long, long time ago there was a "Hall-of-Fame" section that was dedicated to exactly what you are thinking about - I think it is an excellent idea to bring something of that nature back. Obviously, moderators would decide what threads are "epic" but the "like" feature would be another way to see which discussions are most appreciated by the readers.
 
Not just Mods. I'd like members to pick/request them too! Something Epic for us may not be all that Epic for you and vise-versa. Plus, there's 100's of threads that could easily qualify, but we just have to find them.
 
Perhaps a combined way of mods+readers would be that mods select some and readers vote.



This is similar to DW product of the year competition.



Btw was/is there a similar vote in Autopia? It would be interesting to set one up...

So you mean something like a "Epic Thread of the Year Award" competition? That could be kinda cool....
 
A lot of of good things have been mentioned already. I will think on it more but just the fact that 'management' is still looking for ways to better this forum is amazing. So many things, large and small, have already been accomplished and have further strengthened and enriched this detailing community. It's impressive. Kudos.

It could work for both threads and products the same way.



It is a matter of work and time put in by the organisers. Voting is the easy part :)
