What is the best type of hose to use? My hepo cheapo HDepot hose has been fine up till now. With all the cold weather it kinks and I spend too much time unbending it. Also the hose has a memory and sometimes smacks the side of the car. is there a better way or and I to OCD?

Also, What is the best nozzle? I purchased a really nice one but it has less pressure that the other hose end. I guess it a pressure issue form the house. Any way to compensate for that with out breaking the bank?

Thanks.

go to your local sears and check out their hoses. most of the better ones have a 10 year or lifetime warranty and they go on sale every so often. also, they have the fireman nozzle (lifetime warranty) as well...

Good hoses aren't particularly cheap but they make your life so much easier they are worth every penny. I don't remember the exact brand but I bought one at Lowes that was touted as "No-Kink" or "NeverKink" and it has served me well. I have also heard good things about the higher quality hoses that Sears sells, especially their black all rubber hose.

I also like the fireman's style nozzle that many places sell, below is a link:

THE ULTIMATE HOSE NOZZLE. I had the same problem until now. Make sure the main valve is fully open in your basement. Mine was partially open which made the water pressure low. I also have the black rubber hose, it's heavier and much more durable than the others and it doesn't KINK.

I agree BigAl3 about the Craftsman all rubber hoses from Sears. I have a few didfferent length and have used one of the hose's for over ten years. Watch for sales or craftsman club discounts.
