Honda paint frost white

OK, so I took another whack at my car, a 98 integra frost white, paint code nh-538. Apparently it is not clearcoated. Is white single stage really just that tough? last week I used perfect it 2 with pc on 6 and a green sonus pad. Made one good pass over everything followed by megs #9. This week I decided to try my new poorboys polish. Used 2.5 with new lc white polishing pad and ssr 1 with white pad. Seemed to be a little glossier, but I still found some scratches that I think should have come out. Should I have tried the yellow lc pad? Appreciate any responses.

I find the yellow LC pad really steps it up for helping the polish cut. You should def try the SSR2.5 with a yellow pad. I did and got great results. The "deep" swirls you may either need more the a PC or simply more aggressive polish. Remember there are certain limits that a PC can obtain and to which polish you can use with a PC. I have learned to live with it....of course until i get a rotary :)

I have the exact same paint on my Integra. What I did was.

Clay-bar

AIO x2

Z5 x3

Z2 x2

NXT x2

Natty wax x2

There is mad reflections now, considering the paint is 14 years old, I had the Zaino bottles sitting beside the car, and I had near perfect reflections.

I will have to try and post some pics, very soon.

Thanks for the replies. its not so much that I have deep scratches, but that I cannot seem to make a dent in them. I don't have any swirls but I have what looks like tiny little pinpricks in the paint. You need a good light to see them, but I am trying to see how far I can take this.

Hadboosttroy, I looked at lists of honda paint and according to several websites frost white paint is not clear coated.

According to paintscratch.com, frost white and championship white do not have a clear coat. Every other Acura integra color for that year does.

So, from what I have read, this pain is just hard as heck? That I need to attack it more aggressively to make a change in it? Is it that much harder than say Volvo or Range Rover paint?

champ white is absolutely clear coated, that site is wrong. And all the frost white tegs i have seen are clear coated, including the acura oem underbody kit in frost white.
