Honda Headlight Resto

Just got a 200 Honda Civic for my Step-Son. It's not in bad shape but really needs some TLC.

Figured I'd do some work on the headlights today. First step of many of trying to get this car back into shape...

After 800 Grit wet-sand:

1500 Grit:

2000 Grit:

After Megs105 and an orange LC Pad:

Finished off with Megs 205 on a white LC polishing pad followed by Poli-seal:

If the rest of the car turns out half that good I'll be happy!

Great work, how long did it all take?

About 1/2 hour per head light. Went pretty quick after the initial wet sanding step.

Nice job. Did you need 205 to finish?

Probably not, but I wanted to see if it made any difference with a less aggressive polishing step. I think it did make a slight improvement in final clarity.

Well you gave me some inspiration into clearing up my Honda CRV headlights. They were not nearly as bad as yours and I only had 1500 wet and dry on the shelf. Ten minutes on each headlight and some fine polish with an orange pad and they came out great, I say overall very easy to do. Thanks Schribs
