Honda Del Sol: New paintjob wetsanded, buffed out

Well, still not happy with the way my car turned out. However, it got to the point where I realized the flaws were just in the paint and nothing I could do about them... and that I can only make a $200 paintjob look so good lol. Started this a while back, and just got around to doing the entire car this weekend.

Process:

Wetsanded with 1500 -> 2000 grit

Removed sanding marks with 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound

DACP with 3m Cutting pad W/ PC on 6

Megs cleaner wax (got bored and decided to try it for once... seemed to remove hazing)

NXT by hand

Topped with #26

More Shine Less Time tire dressing, wiped down rims, Stoners trim shine. (just used all my .99 autozone clearance items on this one)

You've got it looking very good!

I wonder if that car's ever spent time in Canton, I've seen a Del Sol in that color before, IIRC it was around the Belden Village area. Not exactly something you see every day.

Cool color for that car :xyxthumbs

Thanks! Nope, I bought it just after the paintjob... only taken it down to akron maybe once. There were 3 orange Del Sols at Hot Import Nights in Cleveland (just when I thought I was the only one around here) so chances are one of them was from around the Canton area.

PerfectFinish1, the side shot really shows up the shine nicely.

That model Honda is called a "CRX" here in Australia and in Japan too I believe. They seem to be less common on the road these days, but still a nice looking machine.

Yep, the hood needs to be re-aligned... it's really annoying me. The bumper was way off, but now it's in line... I just need to get some screws for it. (Brings it in near the headlights) It's a 97 front bumper on a 93 car.
