HONDA /ACURA Window TRIM

What do you guys think about this: If I have several layers of Klasse on my rims, but I would occasionally like to use Sonus Wheel Cleaner...do you think that the Sonus Wheel Cleaner would actually remove all/any of the Klasse?

It's very possible that it might. Most wheel cleaners are pretty strong, and they usually weaken Klasse if not totally remove it. I know EFHI removes Klasse, as does P21S. So it's likely that Sonus could remove/weaken Klasse.

I have used Klasse on my wheels a few times. It does help to keep them a bit cleaner when using plain car wash. If you have a wheel that doesn't get too dirty or full of brake dust, its worth Klassing them. If you have a wheel like the BMW which has oversize brake pads and large openings for the dust to accumulate fast and embed into the clear coat, then I think that Klasse is pretty much a waste of time. I have to use EF HI just to get it clean most of the time, and even stronger stuff ie Armour All Wheel Cleaner with a brush on occasion. This definitely removes the Klasse. So unless your wheels stay pretty clean or you plan to Klasse every week, fuhgedaboudit......

It's a known problem/defect with Honda/Acura Window trim oxidizing. I'm the second owner of my ACURA RSX Type S and the problem was already evident. Have any other detailers experienced this? If so, how have you dealt with it? When I can find the correct paint, I think that repainting this trim directly below the windows is the ONLY Fix. Any comments and/or suggestions are welcomed.

Well if its the rubber trim, I try to scrub the oxidation with a strong bristle brush and some apc. You'll see it come off but not all of it. I wouldn't paint any trim, just dye it with black wow or trim dye. Comes out looking new.
