Holy cow...you guys are turning me into a freak...

YNOT

Poorboys Rules!
I've only been a member here for about a month-ish and I'm already turning into an anal-retentive car-cleaning freak.

After washing my car I now wash all of my mits, MF towels, absorbers, etc in the washing machine and then after drying them (with NO fabric softeners) I place each mit and MF towel in it's own plastic baggie, load them back into my car wash bucket and keep them stored in my cabinet until the next washing. My wife thinks I'm a bit nuts...lol.

What would I have done had I not found this place? I used to just rinse my wash mitts and leave them in my car wash bucket to dry, then use them again and do the same thing. I'd only wash them once in a while or if they looked overly dirty. Same with my absorbers...only washed 'em when they looked dirty.

I've always considered myself picky when it comes to my cars, but I'm really learning to be even more picky now that I'm a member here!

Thanks guys...I love this place!! Any other little helpful hints??

:dcrules

Actually, I do use a waffle weave towel...Meguiars brand.

I use my Absorber strictly for the chrome wheels. Then, once I get the bulk of the water off of them, I go over them with a MF towel to clean up any light water spots/streaks.

I think for me, it's the natural desire in each of us to excel at one thing. I tried the lawn care deal, wanted the million dollar yard and darn near spent every spare dollar on it - just to see that it would take a level of maintenance I couldn't afford. So screw that, I'm into having and maintaining the slickest SUV on the road!

At least this addiction won't land you in jail. :) And you can even earn a few dollars to get your supplies "fix".
