Hello everyone. Hope all is well. I been real busy as of late and got a lot of things going and I thought I would share a new product I've been using. The product is called Finish-it and its manufactured by a company called HiLustre. HiLustre is a company based out of California, IMHO they are gonna be a big competitor in the market of detailing products. Anyway I had a real close friend of mine just get a Tahoe fully repainted it and ask me to fix the painters mistakes. I have been using Finish-it on several test panels for a few days and thought I would share some results with you. This product is a water based Non- Dimishing product. All I can say so far is wow!!!!!!!!!! Here are some of the results I was able to produce. This paint has no depth and is a real ****** job. Orange peel is bad. There is no clarity at all.

I first dry sanded the masked off area with 3m trizact 1500 and then wetsanded it with Norton 3000. Both were done By a D/A.

Here is what it looked like sand flat.

Once sanded I used Finish-it on a Wool pad and rotory, and then I finished down with a dual action polisher and a orange foam pad. With two steps I went from flatly sanded paint to LSP ready paint. These pictures results are after 3 ipa wipedowns.

Wow, looks great. I can't wait to see it completely finished off. How would you compare this product to the 3M Perfect-It for Light/Dark colored vehicles, which is also water based???

It will blow 3m Perfect it away. I really been looking for a product like this in a while. I use Ardex 1500 relgiously and Ill tell ya what I think I need to make a switch. I was really amazed by how well this works with both rotory and orbital polishers so far. I got excellant results with it on a pc7424 and on a rotory and a Dual action air polisher. I'm lost for words so far. I found a product that cuts like m105 and finishes better then m205 all in the same bottle!!!! LOOK OUT.

Aww, come on barry - more details please. Do you use it via KBM? How would you rate its cutting ability compared to the more popular polishes/compounds out there?

Its a great price and with your praises, sounds like a winner. Hopefully they have a distributor in San Diego and I can pick up a bottle.

Wow! Great price!

So your saying this product can remove 1500 grit marks and finish LSP ready?

No lead foot luke. What I'm saying is I sanded the paint with 1500 then 3000.

The two steps were one with rotory and one with Dual action polisher. Now two steps from a flatly sanded surface is pretty dog gone good! Hopefully that helps bud.

their shipping charge is reasonable too!

Great, then you wont mind shipping some to my house too lol!

HiLustre and Gloss Haus are the two companys that I have had my eye on. I need to pick up the phone and get some of these products here to try out.

Wow, that's one of those statements that sounds "too good to be true"....especially when you add the fact that it only costs $7.95 a bottle!

can this product be used as a one step? or when u meant cuts like m105 and finishes better than m205 you meant doing two steps with diff. pads?

Sounds like a great product- ill have to get my hands on it after I get my hd uno

which by the way I got a wrong package- they sent me hd total and hd free instead of my polisher kit :(

Well considering it's been coming to light a LOT lately that Meg's *might* have somehow "Borrowed" a few idea's from HiLuster to create 105 and 205 it's very concievable that what barry is saying is very truthful. And this wouldn't be the first time Meg's has been accused of "Borrowing" other's idea's so I can see it. Now I have no proof of it but I've been hearing from a few sources that know a great deal more than me about the whole story. For $8 it's worth putting to the test though if you ask me.
