Higher End Carper Wands

Not sure if anyone has given this much thought of have looked at the various wands out there....

traditional exposed sprayer head (overspray)

closed sprayer

internal sprayer

vs

$$$$

Closed loop sprayers *the liquid recirculates* within the head - which generally gurantees no overspray, over wetting, etc....

I'm probably headed in this direction with the premise that I WILL be needing/using more liquid required just to the mechanics of how this type of wand head works...

I use mine to clean my house carpets quite regularly, but have recently been looking at a power head for that job. It seems to do a better job than just a regular wand, however, a decent one will run around $400.00.

Not a power hand. Upholstery style tool --- for car interiors.

The one I'm probably going to get runs about $5 bills, no overspray due to head/wand style design, 50% LESS liquid absorbed into the material, etc, etc.

chefwong: You got a link to what you're looking at ? $500 seems pretty expensive just for the wand portion....

Probably something like this HyrdaMaster: Hand/Upholstery Tool - HydraMaster DriMaster

It's on my wishlist. The video of it looks promising.

Very interesting. I wonder how the solution gets to the cleaning head ? I don't see an additional solution line like you would with a traditional wand, so does the solution travel through the return (vacuum) hose ? I also wonder how it would work with an extractor like the Mytee. The video shows lots of discussion surrounding 1000 psi and 500 psi, but how about 55 to 100 psi ?

Honestly though, I would love to give one of these a try. I might have to send a few inquiry e-mails and get some more info.

The solution line runs appears to run through the vac hose/return line (check out the vid at about 55 seconds). I would love to get a hose like that...less cords and hoses to get tangled.

If I can find a company that will ship it to me for a reasonable price, I will pick one up this spring. I'll do a writeup as well once I've tested it out if anyone's interested.

That's the one. Prochem also makes a slighly lesser expensive one...

But the drimaster is the one. Probably will jus spring for it come springtime...not doing anything carpets during the winter freeze...
