well sometimes im just too lazy to hand wash it so i drive it to the coin-op an wash it off that way.. i just put a coat of wax on it less than a week ago, figured tonight im too lazy to dry it as well.. so i took it there around 9pm tonight an washed it .. figured the water would all bead off as i drove out an i wouldnt need to hand dry it. thought well that sounds too easy but i might as well try it.. an it actually worked really good! but heres the question, will too much high pressure washing wear the wax out faster than normally? should i add a few more coats? i use megs nxt

I've thought about this myself, but I say as long as you just use high pressure water, you are less likely to compromise the wax that is on the paint. I know that isn't really a "wash", but if the paint isn't very dirty in the first place, then going over the car with a stream of water should knock the dust off. Now if you use the soap, you may get varied results, as it depends on the owner of the coin-op.

I went through a touchless car wash once during the winter to knock off some salt...I don't know how they did it, but the salt was still on there...however my Megs #26 wasn't...

Not at all as far as I can tell. Obviously you would not use the stream setting, but rather a 3-4 inch wide fan setting. You also would not want to get too close to the paint, however, I sometimes do so to dislodge stubborn grime. The reason the touchless automatic car washes remove wax is because they use very harsh detergents.
