Hi-Temp Users

I just bought some Light Power Cut Leveler to try because it seemed to get good reviews here. Reading the label it says to use Prep Wash or Prep Solve after using and before applying sealer or wax.

My question is: Is it really necessary to use anything before applying a sealer? PB's, 4*, and Menzerna don't require anything other than just wiping it off before applying a LSP.

If it does require washing off can I just use something I've already got rather than buying something else -- just to use it? Thanks.

I use Hi Temp stuff all the time, and I've never used Prep Solve or Prep wash after. I just wipe off the residue and continue on.

I've used it many times without a follow up of anything, other than possibly a polish. I think that is another way the manufacturer gets you to add another Hi-Temp product to your arsenal.

probally not needed. if you wanted to could follow up with a light polish or glaze but probally not needed.

You use the Prep Wash to remove any buffing residue or oil to prepare the surface. You should be fine.

It's basically a safety feature to make sure all the abrasives are off the car before your LSP. Personally, I like using a pure paint cleaner/final polish before going to sealing. I find the shine to be better when you follow up the leveler.
