Hi Temp Products

I have some light Cut from HI-Temp, the instructions say that after applying it and buffing off the residue that the panel needs to be washed, is this so? I called them and the man said that the oils need to be washed away so that the wax can bond correctly, but dont all products(ex. meguiars 9) have oils in them, is it really necessary for this extra washing? Thanks

Robb,

Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but I just started using Hi-Temp Light Cut today, and noticed the same instructions. I applied with a PC (LC cutting pad), worked until almost dry, and buffed off. I followed with #9 and a polishing pad (maybe unnecessary), and topped with #26. I didn't wash between products. All this is on an arctic pearl white. Looks great. My observation of Light Cut was that 1) it is more aggressive than #9, which is why I got it, 2) it didn't seem as oily as #9, and 3) it is extremely easy to use, wiping off effortlessly. This is a product I will continue to use.

Thanks, although they say to wash in between using it and wax, i never have, i see no adverse effects at all, the wax i use lasts quite long, i really do like this product, my recipe for most all cars i do now is dacp-lite cut-glaze-wax, makes a great combo
