Hello,
Hoping to learn the RIGHT way to treat my paint, after 40 years of winging it. Have a weakness for black cars, so I know the work involved. Went by the new Griot's retail store a month ago and bought the giant kit in a bag. The buffer is great, the wax is great, not that impressed with the pads, the polish, and the towels. The whole setup seems targeted towards the side of caution and not harming your paint. Sorry, I want faster results without breaking out my 7" rotary.
My 750 has 16 year old paint and shows it, although it looks 500% better after the first pass of the Griot's products. There are however a lot of deep scratches and chips. I had the roof repainted last year because of a couple buff-throughs, and plan a repaint of the hood soon to fix all the rock chips. The 535 will be getting a total repaint over the winter. So I will be trolling looking for the right product mix for me, to do the job faster but get good results.
