I think if I add up what I have spent on stuff to wash my truck, I could well afford a professional detailing for my 2002 Nissan Frontier.

So, I am seeking advise on how to keep my truck sparklin, the best products to use and reference to a local reputable pro.

I have NEVER waxed a car, but I would like to give my truck the best. Are spray car washes bad....are tire shiners bad to use...what if I want to paint something on my truck....lots of questions.

Two bucket car washing.....wow they didn't teach me that in Nursing school.........

Welcome to DC :dcrules :howdy

There are lots of answers to your questions and yes you could probably hire someone to do the work for you, but that takes away all the fun:D

the best products are the ones that work best for you... there are better alternatives than spray washes:notme: and tire products should stay on the tire not fling up all over your paint ;) ...

two buckets are good but three is better :lol2:

ps ...Troy the owner of Detail City is a professional detailer just down the road in Sarasota :bigups

Not right now I'm not. I'm up in Jacksonville getting ready for a perfect Thanksgiving Day. :dnaughty

Just whooped my brother-in-law in tennis and tomorrow I plan to rule the ping pong table before eating half a turkey and watching the Packer's stomp the Lions. :D

Welcome to DC Jeff.

:welcome: Welcome to DC and the area! Do some reading and searching. DC is a wealth of knowledge and has some very helpful members. :dcrules

As far as products go, that is mostly personal preference. You just have to try a bunch of products and see what you like best. You mentioned that you spent a lot on products already. What do you have?

Sounds like you are off to a good start Troy! Enjoy.

I have been buying mostly armor all stuff. The tire foam bottle seems to empty out after one use! I need to find some of the wheel wax I have read about here. I have been washing it myself mostly, and it seems I need to by a 'air force' to get it not to have water marks $$$$$. I have never waxed a car but that seems to be the next project. I tried toothpaste on the headlamp covers with some success. I would like to get brighter legal bulbs, sylvania maybe ......thanks.
