Whats up?

Hey, I am a total newb to detailing. I was referred by someone over at mazdaspeedforums.org. They told my I would find some good information here about my car. I have some paint defects on my car that I want to get rid of. Hopefully searching around here I will find something!

Thank you. I'm actually trying yo reverse something a "professional" detailer did to my car. He made holograms and made spider swirl worse instead of fixing them.

I was recommended by the peeps over at Msf to purchase the porter cable machine and meguairs m105 with some super finish polish. I will soon purchase those things and start working on my car, hopefully bring my car back to the best shape.

M105 and M205 are great products. Pretty easy learning curve and seem to be less finicky than some of the polishes out there.

All too common occurrence of fixing a "detailer's" mess left behind.

Welcome! take your time searching and check posts specific to your car to see what has worked and any tips.

Good luck with getting your car back to great shape.

Thank you. I have already learned a lot this forum is very helpful!

Welcome aboard! You received great advice to come by here - The PC (Porter Cable) and Meg's 105/205 polishing twins are a nice way to start. Definitely do some searching and thread reviews on 105...the results are phenomenal but it does require some technique.

What sort of technique would I need?

The really good images aren't available to the general public.

Stuff like Google earth is a good toy for generating a Lat./Long. value though. The good targets and security issue sites are blurred out so the imagery is worthless.

Fortunately, there's not that many people out there who can use that data to lob a missle, better yet, there's fewer that can launch a missle far enough from thier own countries to bug us.

Very true. I feel the cost of todays flat-screens make them an almost disposable product compared to the cost of repair. When you add to that the fact that Trident Layers are only sold in 18 states it just makes sense that I'm a Nigerian prince and need you to hold my $5,000,000 for a week while I write you a check for double that amount. Also, Japanese Viagra at wholesale pricing.

I guess spamming really is more fun than it looks.
