So many different product lines and need help choosing the right ones. Do u recommend using individual products or can I find solid products from one brand? Looking for clay bar, blended sealent/ waxes (hybrid), car soap, paint coating, tire dressing (something high gloss and won't attract dust and dirt), plastic ( high gloss something that won't attract dust and dirt) and wheel cleaner for matte black wheels along with rim sealer?

Also where is the cheapest place to buy these products??

Thks any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

IMO Poorboys World, is a solid choice for what you are looking for. Very user friendly for the beginner and pro level detailers. Full range of quality car care products that won't break the bank. It's been my go to for detailing for 10 plus years:D

I used zano products with great results. I'm intersted to see if there is something far easier, better and cheaper out there? I have a black car and red truck.

I just made the suggestion that fits what you are looking for over Zaino. IMO Zaino is OK but nothing great.

What vendor do u recommend getting this products from that offers agressive pricing?

Autopia & autogeek have good pricing and you can also buy direct from Poorboys. If you watch for sales you can save some cash.

Look around and shop the sites to see which is running sales.

if i ever have any doubts about something, meguiars is always a safe bet too. huge selection, good prices, and great quality from one of the oldest, most respected names in detailing. i think most of us like autopia-carcare and autogeeks, but megs is often available at local retail stores too.

Maybe not the cheapest out there but good quality products that live up to their claims are the Blackfire line sold here. Another benefit to them for a newer person is all of the product support that can be had right on this site seeing how we have the resident expert on Blackfire. Also unless it has changed new members get 10% off their first order.

Lots of great lines out there and honestly it will always come down to technique over product selection.

That said, I am partial to BLACKFIRE. In terms of quality, results, ease-of-use, and value it is a hard consumer line to beat. All of the protectant products use the same Wet Diamond polymers so they all work extremely well together.

Autopia-CarCare.com offers extremely low prices as well as a price match guarantee. Using the forum discount codes you get 10% off the already great prices, no matter what line you go with.

If you want to stick with 1 Brand of product I would vote on Meg's simply because their line is so vast. But there are many great options out there. You really can't wrong with any of the products on Autopia Car Care Products - Car Detailing Supplies, Car Wax, Car Polishers, Auto Detailing.

Trying to pick specific products.

Clay Bar: Sonus, or Blackfire Clay
Sealant: Blackfire is nice: BFWD or BFCS
Car Soap: Megs Hyper Wash, DG901, CG CW&G
Paint Coating: OC 2.0, CQuartz
Tire Coating: Tuff Shine
Plastic: CQ Delux, Gtechniq C4
Wheel cleaner: I would coat the wheels with OC 2.0 then you can use just car soap.

You should not to overwhelmed. When I first started I bought a soap, paint prep polish, sealant and detail spray all from 1 line ultima. It was a great start. Once you get into it you will ask better questions and then try different stuff. It a trial and error process. There are better Products but it a depends on what you are After and like. I would say I never bought a product here that did not perform the job. Some are better than others in terms of durability ease of use. Time savings less or more expensive. Also look is subjective.

Thks any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do like the rest of us....buy about 10 different brands of each product and then ask yourself where you'll find a few thousand cars to use them all up.

Good luck!

I used Zaino for years then I tried Blackfire last year...... I now have the full line of Blackfire products. All my Zaino products are in a cardboard box in the cellar collecting dust.
