Well its time to detail! no school + moderate cool = fun in the sun (hopefully)

Here is my order:

1) Wash - Rinse with free water flowing from hose (how do you stop the flow? i usually jam my spray head on)

2 bucket method. 1 bucket with hot water + dawn to rinse sponge occasionally. 1 bucket with 3 caps of mothers shampoo with bucket 1/2 full

Rinse down then spray on wheel wells + wheels.

Use purple power rim cleaner / APC + dilute ratio on tires / wheelwells

Dry with WW that have been washed through with tide + air dry

2) Prep - Inspect finish to see any dirt spots / object

TRY and clay with Meguiars bar (ridiculously hard might work) try and make sure the bar grabs the surface and causes some noise

Wash with UPP Auto Wash

Pro Polish - SSR1 or 2 if needed depending on swirls / scratches

(Use different applicator for each product, but u use 1 - 3 drops / panel or 2 - 3 foot area? keep rubbing in until the polish is gone?)

3) Finish - EX - apply 2-4 drops per panel in which u see a layer . remove right after panel is done?

S100 - I've never used a paste. How much do u apply? dap a little and apply like a liquid? usual 3-5 drops / panel?

What about QD? I got QD + S&W FD. ack so much stuff... UGE!

Basically I need simple info about application... thanks if anyone can input their knowledge... lets not waste my UPP / PB / Meguiars/mother stuff!

How much of each solution should i use? how is haze a factor?

how long do i leave each solution on? ack

please help!:shocked

1. Your wash method sounds reasonable. I would replace Dawn with a good quality car soap and your sponge with a lambs wool wash mitt.

2. Claying is very easy. Do not use heavy pressure and do the whole car. To save time, you can even clay the car as you wash it using the soapy water as a lube. Just make sure the panel you are working on is clean.

3. Work the Pro Polish until it is almost dry. Make sure you shake the bottle well. You do not need to use a large amount of product. I would use a MF or terry cloth applicator with the Pro Polish.

4. EX – I’ve gotten my best results using a slightly damp MF applicator and a small amount of product. It is thick stuff and it may take a panel or two to get used to. Leave on the car for an hour or so before removing. Let it cure for 12-24 and apply a second coat. I find that the second coat does make a difference in shine and longevity.

5. S100 – Wipe the applicator lightly in the jar. A little goes a long way. Wipe on the car in straight lines and buff off immediately.

6. QD – QD+ is your quick detailer and S&W is you waterless wash. If the car is dusty or dirty, S&W. If not, go with QD+.
