Ok,

My 75 y/o Dad is pretty good about car upkeep but has recently asked me to help him with some new products and I figured with dad's day rigth around the corner I would put a gift bucket togtehr for him. He has two cars, a 01 Ford ranger with 8K miles (not kidding) and and Infiniti G35 (moms)...I was thinking the following:

Meg gold class wash

EO a-z

EO wax as yiou dry

Meg tire dressing

applicators/microfibers/new wash mitt

anyone think of anythign esle....I do not want anyhting too hard to use as althought he is a great shape he has no patirnce and if he blows a fuse my mom will kill me!

He already has a water blade and absorder.

thanks for the input

I would detail both cars myself but as he is in Boston and I am in AZ that would be a neat trick...besides it is somehtign that he really enjoys doing.....He is were I get my habits from....every car and boat we have owned has always been immaculate....Hell, my mom caught him "detailing" the tops and controls of the washer and dryer once with spray cleaner and a toothbrush and it would'nt shock me if he waxed them after he was done

I left a little "care basket" for my gf's car this weekend in 'Lanta. Get too complicated and the products won't be used:)

Zip Wash

Sheepskin mitt

Absorber

EO A2Z

wheel brush

Tech Protectant

Meg's Cleaner Wax

(the only luxury item)

5 Excel mfs

HAHA!! That is awesome! Sounds like me...

NXT spray wax is easy enough i would say.

First, it's awesome your dad still loves doing it at 75....but that he still can is even better. I'd throw in some interior products like vinyl, leather, glass cleaners/dressings, etc. if he dosen't have them already.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my father. We recently did a full detail on his 911 and I was thinking of giving him the full armament of products to maintain it.

I know he will not use clay but I thank everyone for all the sugestions....I am even goign to trow in a new shop vac and a few other things......At 75 years old not only does he wash both cars at least once a week (even in Boston winters) but in the summer he mows a hilly acre by hand every 5 days, does all his own yard work on his home and his rentla home, fixes all my helpless brothers screw ups and is in the middle of renovatign a hoouse on cape cod....He is truly amazing (he also reportadly came back from the Dr the other day with a sample pack of Viagra that my mom hid on him, lol)

Well, I take it back. If he could do all that at 75, then by all means get the clay :D Maybe some polish to? By hand, of course. No sissy boy PC! Seriously though, I wish your dad many more years. God bless.

Well, if you were making a list of “good things and “bad things, there’s no doubt where losing your Viagra would fit.
