Finally, I got my PC 7424XP this afternoon.:woot:

I am going to work on my Black Subaru Forester this weekend. :buffing:

I have following pads and products

3 CCS Orange 5.5 Light Cutting Pads

3 CCS White 5.5 Polishing Pads

2 CCS Gray 5.5 Finishing Pads

1 CCS Blue 5.5 Finessing Pad

Meguiar's Products

Ultimate Compound

Deep Crystal system Polish

Deep Crystal System Paint cleaner

ColorX

Swirl X

Scratch X 2.0

NXT Liquid Wax

My goal is removing swril marks as many as possible...

Suggestions?

Thanks

Start with the least aggressive pad (White) and Meg's UC may be too aggressive for soft paint. I would start out with something like Menz 106FA with a white pad and finish down with 85rd. Even Meg's 205 might work.

Actually, I am thinking to use CCS Gray pad with SwirlX...just play safe:clap:

or Should I use white pad with Swirl X?

Thanks

PS: Are you drinving a Legacy? If so, What year?

The gray is a finishing pad and if you have swirls you should use a white polishing pad as BigAl suggested. And no, I don't drive a Legacy.

iv done quite a few subies with the PC and i find that im still using an orange pad to get the marks out. though, iv been using Optimum products, which i now know are better for rotarys and not orbitals.... so, perhaps you will have an easier time of it with a lighter pad and megs. products.

in general i find subarus are easy to work on.

Green pads seem to work just right for subaru black too. Something with similar cut and finish to #83 or Menzerna 106 should yield great results

Go with Swielx in places that you need to then use Colorx over all vehicle best if let polymers in set up for 12 hours before appying NXT.
