Hello All,
I recently purchased my dream car, an 08 Audi RS4 (black). When I got it in December, I did a full decontamination (Dawn, CarPro Trix iron/tar remover, clay) and then used Menzerna SI1500 with an orange LC pad on my GG DA, then sealed.
The SI1500/orange pad definitely cleaned up the paint, but I can still see some a lot of faint scratches over most of the paint and some deeper blemishes in certain areas (skirt below doors, door handles, trunk lid around emblem/handle, etc.).
With Spring coming, I'm excited to get the car in as good a shape as possible, and I've order Meguiar's M105 and some MF cutting pads to help with the process. I've also order a 2.75" backing plate and some 3" yellow pads to help with the smaller areas.
Do you think I should hit the whole car with M105 and the MF pads, or would this be overkill? Maybe just M105 on an orange pad and go after specific areas with the MF or yellow 3" pad? My intention would be to go M105 then finish with Menzerna SF4500. One thing to note is that the right rear quarter panel has been repainted due to an accident.
Thanks in advance!
