HELP -- Road Maintenance Advice

Our village in their infinite wisdom just decided to do a a little maintenance on our street (asphalt). They did a coat of oil followed by sand. Needless to say my wife would not adjust her driving speed.

So my Explorer has wheel wells and a few exterior bits coated with this ^%#@ stuff.

The wheel wells and tires I can power wash but the lower portions of the car...well. I was thinking maybe a heavy dose of QD then a water stream or heavy car wash solution repeatedly; obviously I'd like to avoid touching the surface at all. It's covering about 2/3 of the bottom section of the front doors plus on the rear trim pieces behind the back wheels--this isn't a big deal as it's plastic.

Any ideas??

Yikes... must be quite a mess!

Forget the QD, it's not going to do much. I'd try degreaser first. You should re-wax anyway because I'm sure that's damaged.

Is it mostly oil, or is it actual bits of rock?

Citrus release agent, coat heavily and watch it fall off....Let gravity take most of it so you dont have to rub it off.....When it gets down to the small sections, your going to have to wipe clean.....Is it a slurry seal ?
