Help removing faint scratches in the clear coat

Hi there....so i am new here....i am sure you have heard this a 1000 times.....i have so many faint scratches, lines marks etc in the clear....i dont have a PC yet....cant find them here in canada....i have a regular random orbital polisher they sell @ your local car automotive store....what should i do to remove all those hair lines, whitish looking scratches in the clear? 2 nice cars so i want to be cautious.....

I have mothers scratch remover and many waxes sealant glaze...from mothers ....mequires etc....any suggestion would be great.....thanks in advance....Ted
 
welcome, which part of canada are you from? canadian tire has pc's, if not in stock they can get them for you. check their website. i would you use a mild compound, if that doesn't work try scratch x.
 
montreal...I checked them out...canadain tire...Home Depot...Reno Depot....no luck...know of any canadian website or stores that sell it where i can order it? thanks

Try 3M smr! You should be able to remove clearcoat scratches by hand.
 
Canadian Tire does carry them. I just checked and they are still there. (And still very expensive. :( ) One Canadian online site you can order a PC from is http://www.carcaresmart.com/page/C/CTGY/_MPA . $190 Cdn.
You can also order one from PAC (along with pads for it and products from PB's, 4*, etc. and save some time by ordering all at once, if you are considering "enhancing" your supplies.)
As to the marring, Mothers Scratch Remover can work on them, but it doesn't fill, so it could take a fair bit of time to get them gone. I've found that their Sealer and Glaze fills fairly well. (You'll still be able to see them if you look, but it helps with the reflections and "not closely scrutinized" viewing.)

I'd recommend reading the threads on Poorboy's SSR lines, or if you are wanting to fill, try Vanilla Moose (SMP-a site sponsor-carries it).
