help! polishing wheels lips

hey guys i hope this in the right section.

well i have a set of hp designs split 5 19's on my benz and the wheels have a black face and a brushed lip.

the later production line of my wheels have a mirror polished lip but mine are early prduction so i have a brushed lip so what is the process for polishing them?.

i tryed some megs metal polish with a mf aplicator and it cleans em up but they dont get any shinyer and i also tryed the same polish with some 0000 steel wool and that removed some of the brushed finish but not all of it.

When you used the metal polish, did it turn the cloth black? If not, the wheel is clear coated. If it's cleared, then polishing with metal polish won't really shine it up much because the clear is probably gloss, not shiny. If the cloth turned black, then try Mother's Billet, the one in the small glass container.
