help picking detailer

Folks,

Have two used cars in desparate need of a detailing and a brand new truck that needs paint protection. With help of info on this forum want to start doing myself in the spring but am hard pressed for time right now.

How would you go about picking a detailer in my area(Boise,ID)?

Thanks for any advice!

As far as picking a professional, remember a couple things:

- you get what you pay for... a $60 detail may seem like a good deal, but it probably isn't going to do what really needs to be done.

- ask to see a portfolio. every detailer I know has at least a few pictures of the cars he or she has detailed.

- get a good assessment and determine how much prep work needs to be done to remove swirls and other imperfections that often are standard options on new vehicles

Ask them what products they use, try to get someone that uses a DA polisher, anyone that uses a rotary as a last step is gonna leave swirl marks even if they are good. Look for them to use microfibers(good luck) and high quality products.

Honestly it's going to be very hard to find a good detailer and that's why I went into business.
