Help needed to remove swirl with Orbitor

Hi all:

I have a black car maintained with Meguiars NXT tech wax, it looks great with it but the swirl marks and light scratches are very visible all over the body.

I am planning to grab an orbitor (Dewalt 443) to remove the swirls.

I need your help on how should I apply the products in correct order, I have Megs ScratchX, 3M FI-II 39003, and Megs DACP.

Your 3M and DACP are similar products. ScratchX is made to use by hand and can gum up the pads if you use it with the Dewalt. With that said you can try to start with Scratch X as it is similar to #80. I'm not sure how to adjust the speed on the Dewalt, so you will need to find some recomendations for it, but I would get another product that is lighter to try first. Something like Meguiars #80 or #9 before using the DACP. If the #80 or #9 is too week then use DACP to remove the swrils then you might have to use #9 to remove the micro marring left by DACP.

Can you use a Dewalt 443 Orbital sander as a polisher? I tried using a PC 333 Orbital sander to polish and while the OPM were good it didn't do a good job because it doesn't move as much per orbit as a polisher like my PC 7336. Meg's DACP is best for a beginner as it has diminishing abbrasive so the product breaks down as you use it to keep you from over working it. ScratcX is very mild and is designed for hand application. Just put some on your hand and rub it between your fingers, you'll see that ScratchX feels like hand lotion, DACP feels grittier. I've never used 3M Finesse-IT II but I hear it's good, probably close to DACP in cutting power. Mike at Meguiars put a good post together on how to use the PC with DACP -
