HELP! my hitachi just broke.

Hey guys,

So today I was buffing away with my rotary, when I leaned over and the cord fell off my shoulder. It got caught inbetween the backing plate and machine, and twisted around many times. I unwrapped it, then went to continue polishing. The machine would not turn on. It seems obvious that the power cord is the issue. Has this happened to anyone? Also, I'm planning on calling hitachi to purchase another power cord. Your advice would be GREATLY appreciated, and thanks in advance!

try tracing where it might be split or disconnected....you may not need to replace it....

but if you do have to replace the cord, you are going to have to open it up anyway, so you might as well do that before you possibly buy something you dont need!
