Help me with Quick Detailer

Guys, I have used Poorboys in the past. It looks like they have 2 or 3 spray detailers. I also have heard good things about Adams also. I am looking something I can apply after drying the car after the wash. And some inbtween washing. I have a darker car and have had some trouble with other over the counter spray detailers except eagles spray and wipe. Any suggestions or discounted items? Also looking for a good tire shine that last and doesn't sling like crazy. Thanks

With PB you have two choice for QD, spray and gloss and QD plus...both would be great choice for what you are looking to do, the later of the two has some carnuba added which can help between wax jobs

For tire shine PB bold and bright is the one that I use, spray on, use a foam brush or sponge as an applicator...The reason you are getting sling, is your product is not dry on the tire when you move it..What are you using now?


Bold and Bright is a water based product and it will dry real fast.

IMO the PB product that is better than either of the two you mentioned for use as a drying aid is Spray & Wipe (better known on this forum by S&W). I would not waste QD+ using it as a drying aid as I'm fairly certain that is not the product's intended use. If your paint is a solid paint color, I think you will really enjoy the QD+ for use after you've dried the vehicle.

I have a spray bottle mixed with 50/50 S&W/S&G (after reading favorable reports here), but it has not really jazzed me.

As far as Adam's Detail Spray, I would place it right at the top of my personal favorites. I've used it both while drying and after drying; in the sun and in the shade. Also used as a touch up on exterior glass. Try and catch one of the specials which will include a gallon, plus a 16 oz. spray bottle, and a smaller 4 oz. spray.

While I would NOT use it to remove dust or dirt but after a wash DG-AW would be my choice because it not only looks awesome but it adds protection far beyond what a QD will.

Past year I have used the new version Ultimate quick detailer by Megs. it is very good.

This winter I will clean with PB-S&W and then wipe it down with AW keeps it looking like new all through the snow season.

You can save a step using PB's Spray & Gloss when you dry. You'll get a very shiny and slick finish. :bigups

Meguires Quick Detailier is pretty good stuff OTC. I have used the DG - AW that I really liked as well.

I already have down nattys blue, and the blue polish. Im running low on that some if something has changed i am open to suggestions. I have a darker brown/bronze ford fusion.

Spray & wipe is a waterless wash works great unless vehicles is really dirty then I would recommend conventional wash.
SG is just a quick detailer

As BB noted above, S&W is a waterless wash, but IMO it is a very fine drying aid. Spray it on the surface as you dry. It adds a bit of addtional lubrication to help prevent drying induced micromarring and at the same time helps to clean off any missed contaminants from the surface while also help to prevent water spotting.

Between Spray & Gloss and QD+, my preference would be the QD+.

I do have some AW. It is a nice product, but IMO the performance is diminished when using it while drying. Just think S&W is the better option.

Perhaps is is called Aqua Wax because it is water based.

Haven't tried the Last Touch, I've still got a small cache of Final Detail.

If you like the Meg's APC, then use it. That is my thought.

Well for using it after you dry off the car I would pick QD+ or S+G I use S+G while I am drying the car as an aid so I do not have to do an extra step after drying its already taken care of lol......The QD+ is great for giving your wax a little boost and really does have a nice look to it.

S+W is a totally waterless wash and will get your finish to as clean and as shiny as it was before it was dirty it will not add anything to the finish like QD or S+G just clean it.

S&W always remains right up front on the cart. It is, IMO, in-despinsable.

Didn't see it mentioned here yet and it surprises me as I find it to be the slickest QD I have yet to try, and that is FK 425. Plus it looks great on dark cars.
