Help me plan...

As of May 26, 2004, I am the proud owner of a Black 2003 SVT Cobra. The car is wonderful and looks AWESOME when it's clean (see sig for details on color, etc). Now that I've owned it for 1 week and 2 days, it's time to seriously detail it because the dealership detail is wearing after the 4 washes I've given it. :D

So I have all of the exterior painted surfaces covered with the materials I have now (Klasse AIO, SG, Pinnacle Souveran, Eimann Powerwash Fabrik+, Pinnacle Polyclay, Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion, etc) and I have glass cleaning (Stoner's Invisible Glass) and plastic cleaning (Plexus) stuff. However, this is the first car that I've owned with an interior deserving of some serious work to keep it looking brand new. The seats have leather bolsters and headrests, but graphite colored suede inserts.

Basically, I would like some ideas for a leather cleaner/protector/dress-up and a suede cleaner/protector/dress-up product. I also would like some ideas as to what I should do to this brand new Cobra. I was planning on a wash, then clay, then wash, then some PPCL, AIO and Souveran. Any ideas on stuff for chrome wheels? I would like something to keep brake dust off and keep em shining as long as possible.

I appreciate all the guidance and help you have to offer fellas/ladies. Thanks a lot, in advance.

If the inserts are real suede, I'd use a good suede protectant just like I would on a jacket or boots. Most of these products would be a good treatment for both the suede and leather parts of your seats.

Apparently, 303 makes something called 303 High Tech Fabric Guard which is recommended for use on suede. I've never used it, but I'm sure you know the excellent reputation of 303 Aerospace Protectant.

In general, the best suede and leather protectants have a higher silicone content. While many seem to despise silicone content for other detailing products, every leather and suede product I have is treated with several coats of good high-silicone protectant and everything stays looking as good as new.

For the chrome wheels, there's always the once-revered Rain-X Wheel Protectant. Other than that, I would think a couple of coats of SG would do well.
