Help black hyundai not finishing down

For some reason I can't get this car to finish down swirl free

I used LC white pad with optimum hyper polish to remove a good amount of rids and holograms from the dealership

THEN tried using lc black to try to get rid of the swirls from the white but I can't seem to get rid of it...

something tells me po 85rd will only cover it with oils...and m205 will be present the same oil issue as the po85rd

Suggestions?

I have

LC ORange

LC White

LC Black

HT Cyan

HT Crimson

Polishes:

PO85RD

M205

Opt Hyper Polish

i had those on an altima i previously did alex..wouldnt come out...til i wet to megs 105 then 205 wiped down...good as new

Thanks guys yea I was thinking the white pad was causing them because the swirls seemed to be different from before I polished so was thinking it was just that my final polish wasn't being done right

Sorry I slept 3 hours in the car before starting this job and got flustered with brain farts

Couple things:

Rotary or DA?

There are still removable swirls, but you'll need a stronger polishing compound to remove them. M105 / D300 / UNO / Opt Compound

Regardless, out of all the finishing polishes you have, Menzerna 85RD with a white LC pad should give you a 100% perfect end finish. Just make sure to take enough time to break down the abrasives.

On soft paint, I've experienced excessive additional marring from a thin flat black LC pad due to the transfer of energy though the pad and onto the surface. The pad was so thin and non-dense, it compressed though it.

Yea I think it was fatigue and just an overall non-clear head that was getting to me...the sun disappearing actually seemed to do me a favor--as I was polishing away with the menz I remembered the stuff had to break down a bit too--so I worked it a bit longer and afict it seemed to finish quite well then again i guess i'll find out if i'm full of it when i check it out in direct sunlight.

I think the other problem I was running into was my reluctance to use compound on a brand new car--as stupid as it is now I wanted to start the car off right and preserve as much of the clear as I could (no thanks to the genius who "prepped" the car before getting it to the gf) but i hindsight I think I would have saved myself aggravation and time if i just went quick with the compound before jumping to the polishes....

Lesson (hopefully) learned

well u did right by starting wit a polish...but somethings polish jusy wont do...had to do the same wit my camaro man..brand new..but the marks wouldnt come out. so i did what i had to..its all good. hope it worked out for u

Well I guess I'll get my answer soon enough but I guess it's going to have to--opticoated it already and I'm not eager to take it off to put on a new coat anytime ever lol Ill try to get a write up done tomorrow

It can be corrected when you're ready and remember it's not the end of the world and you're probably better then 99.999% of the cars on the road anyway.

btw - did you get my text?

I was hesitant for the longest time to use it but it really is pretty easy--then again that's assuming I applied it right...I hear the best/easiest way is to use a paint gun--but I wonder how much you end up useing if you got that route

oh that was your text...oddly enough for some reason it broke into two texts...but i only got the last like 3 words of the 2nd text i kind of scratched my head and shrugged "ot getting back to you sooner" is all i got xD
