hey, i waxed my car with nxt tech wax yesterday after a good claybaring.

i hate the results my paint is not sleek nor shinny. i want to use my old fashioned optimum poli-seal .

i know poli-seal has cleaners in it so can i just top the nxt with the poli-seal?

Yes, you should be able to go right over it without any problems, presuming you have buffed off all the NXT residue.

DISCLAIMER: I have not used OPS, but I have used other AIO products.

I also heard NXT has cleaners too. I had ok results using NXT before, but I hated it when it rains! It would wash away :(

To answer your question, if you don't like the results then strip off NXT and use your poli-seal.

My TL used to look like this with NXT (oh yes.. the NXT days before it rains!! GRRR....

While I have heard lots of complains about NXT, I have not heard anyone say it wasn't shiny. How well prepped was the paint?

I sued to use NXT all the time, loved the glossy deep shine and very slippery, the slippery feel would wear off after a few weeks, but it seemed to protect for a while. I usually wash every week and wax once a quarter. I have swithced to Megs #21 which is awesome!

yeah, i've only heard complaints about its durability. like when it rains as someone mentioned above. always hear people say good things about the shine. did you use the paste wax?

Yea, sounds like user error. Ive used NXT alot and Ive never been disappointed.

Did you do the swipe test to make sure it was ready to remove?

What exactly do you not like about the look? Say what you will about NXT's durability but it is a very good looking wax, IMO.

I'd attribute your problem to user error.. Many on the board have used NXT and have had great results.. of course, except for the durability.
