Hello everybody, my name is Jeremy Wayne and I own and operate Status Auto Detailing in Springfield, Mo. I strive every day to be the best in Springfield, which is located in SW Mo and has a pop. Of aprox. 250k. Probably closer to a million of you count the surrounding areas. Detailing in the midwest is tough. There are tons of terrible production detailers and swirlomatics to compete with. Prices are relatively low here. Where some guys on the coast,
Fl. Tx, etc, may get $500 to $600a for a major paint correction, $300-400 is a ton of money here. The bulk of my work is full details (wash clay wax and full interior) , and then single steps, and next would be paint corrections. I do 5-10 cars per week, a bad week in the middle of winter would be 3 cars. Most of the cars i work on are nice daily drivers: bmw, lexus, audi, infiniti, etc. I work on quite a few muscle cars, corvettes etc. I do some show cars but not many exotics. . . Which is where i would like to at least slightly tap into. Springfield is mostly a wealthy town. THere are a few exotic dealerahips, Porche dealers, etc. Im using a vapormaster 3000 steamer, mytee heated extractor, porter cable da and dewalt rotary etc...thinking about a rupes...we'll see. I definitely consider myself a skilled detailer but am always looking for ways to take my business to the next step. I wouldnt be on here if i knew everything. Looking forward to learning some new things and maybe contributing a little as well. Thanks for reading! Best wishes, Jeremy Wayne
