New to the forum.. But not new to car forum scene ive been into the forum thing for a few years mainly.. tbssowners.com,acurazine.com...ETC and the amount of info and knowledge is awesome. I have been reading your forum for a few days now trying to get ready for NY's warm months. I have been into car detailing since before i could drive. Nothing to serious always by hand and off the shelf products.. Now i would like to step my game up. Im interested in purchasing all new products. I already know that i will be getting the Porta cable. Other then that id really like recommendations as to what else i should be getting waxes, polishes, cleaners, clays, towels.ETC..

My personal cars i will be detailing:
2009 Trailblazer SS AWD-White
2010 Nissan Rouge -Black
2009 Honda Accord Coupe-Sliver
1999 Toyota Camry-Two Tone Pearl white/Pewter (Daily Driver)

Ive been recommended to use Menzerna..

Hey tblazer09, allow me to welcome you to the forum.

I'm sure you know your fair share when it comes to car care, but i believe everyone is always learning more. This industry continues to develop as newer technology allows companies to improve on existing formulas and make products better than ever. Over the last few years it has been really exciting to see the developments in car care.

What you can do is take a look at Autopia Car Care's how-to article page. You can find that here:Car Detailing How To Information

You may learn a thing or two, and each page has personal product suggestions from me.

Good luck and again, welcome to the city! Looking forward to having you here.

tblazer09, let me second John's post. Welcome to The City! Great source of knowledge on this board and I think you'll find both our sponsor and the members on this site to be to your liking. Look forward to your input.

like i said in my OP im new with the porta cable ...im trying to pick a package with pads.. i havent a clue one what pads i should be looking for

Welcome...
There are many topics you can search on this site.
Ask a question where you can't find an answer and someone is always willing to help.

I just wanted to say no one ignored you. What are your intentions as far as final results and how much time do you have to spend.

I hit the "d" next to "s" sorry

Welcome, ive also recently picked up a PC, whats nice about it is it can make some of your old favorite car products so much easier and have the results turn out better.

what do you mean my intentions for final result ? i have plenty of time (weekends) a full day or two weekly

I was referring to your list of cars. What do you want to improve on each as far as paint condition? It could help with picking the right pads and polish combinations. There are many options that could work without breaking the bank. There are good threads on this topic too.

mainly swirl correction and protection .. after the winter we had and the terrible car brite soaps that were used to wash away the salt .. pretty sure they all need some attention ...the trailblazer which is my personal car which i baby very bad isnt that bad but thats what ill be spending most of my time on its just a simple white with light swirls

Maybe John @ Autopia can chime in with some of his current packages. With your discount you could get what you need to get started.
Post a thread with some pics and I'm sure you'll get any help you need
Best of luck!:)

I know we get a discount at Autopia.
I just went and looked at the thread and just saw where it doesn't include polishers or kits. Sorry, I myself am looking for a replacement for my Porter Cable. :(
