Hi Everyone,
I recently joined the forum and I just wanted to thank all of you for having on one of the most informative and friendly forums that I have had the pleasure of joining. I just bought a new Rav4 last month and wanted some advice on how to properly protect the finish. I was able to get pretty much everything I needed from searching old posts.
My former car was a 2002 CRV and over the years had a large number of chips and dings on the hood. I ended up having a Clear Bra installed this morning on the new car. I really didn't like the big plastic protectors that you can get and this is perfect.
I had put a couple of coats of Collinite 845 on the finish a couple of days after I brought it home. Now that I have the Clear Bra I'm probably going to use a clay bar on it and then use a sealant (either Opti-Coat or one of the Zaino's and them finally Collinite 845. I don't drive everyday but it is outside all the time and under trees so it definitely needs protection.
Thanks again for all your help.
Doug
