Just a quick hello and and attempt to get some answers to some basic questions. I own and really enjoy showing an award winning 1967 VW Karmann Ghia. My favorite thing to do is detail her. It's almost better than taking her to the shows.
1. How did you wind up at Autopia?
The site was referenced in "Hemmings Sport& Exotic Magazine
2. What do you like most about detailing?
Detailing, for me is very theraputic as a stress reliever. The compliments you recieve from a job well done.
3. What are your favorite products/processes and why?
Right now I am using Griot's products. They seem to be of high quality and produce consistant results for me.
4. What's your dream car and why?
I own it. A 1967 VW Karmann Ghia. It was my 1st car.
5. What's the best thing you learned on Autopia?
Nothing yet. But hope to learn alot more than I do now!
6. What are some of your other hobbies and interests?
Travel and Photograpy
7. Do you have any pets? If so, types, names, pics.
Loki the Great Dane. Ginger and Jinx the cats. Lucky the Parrot.
8. Name three secret techniques that you think you should share to fellow Autopians.
If this site is dedicated to the art of auto detailing I doubt I could offer any secrets
9. Where are you from and where do you live now?
Columbus Ohio
10. What was you first car and what got you interested in keeping cars perfect?
My Ghia was the 1st. I had an opportunity to restore mine several years ago. An amazing paint and bodyman pinted my car to perfection. I felt I owed it to him to keep the car in top condition.
11. What motivates you to detail?
The reaction I get when I show the car. Also, anytime I need to relieve some pent up stress!
12. Would you ever pay someone else to detail your car?
Doubtful.
13. Does detailing run in the family at all, or are you the only normal one?
Just I.
14. What is your favorite part about detailing?
Shining the chrome!
15. If detailing is a hobby for you, would you like to do it full time, or do you feel that it would take the fun out of it?
I definitely prefer to do it as a hobby on my own time and terms.
