Heavy Duty Peterbilt, Heavy Duty Swirls

One I did this past spring. Serious neglect and improper care. I'm still a bit of a rookie, I haven't moved beyond my PC with Griot's Garage polishes. I will be stepping up to a Makita or DeWalt with some more aggressive products in '10 when I deplete my GG supply.



The final product here is satisfactory, but the time involved was far to lengthy for adequate profit.



The truck is a 2004 Peterbilt 378 with a Century 1060s Rotating Crane Heavy Duty Wrecker. $450-500k when new. About 35' long and 65,000 lbs.

I feel you on this one man. I do several rigs and those tanks are a PITA.

@thedetailer - thank you, this took about 30 hours. I was forced to attack each panel multiple times due to the mild nature of the Griot's polish. I think with a direct drive machine, I could have cut my time by 6-8 hours. Back in a previous life, I used to drive these things. I ended up with a management position, and thus my part time detailing career began.



@Brandon1, I have many more big truck pics to post, those tanks are almost not worth the effort involved!

Great job cfd. I love doing the big trucks. Get the dewalt or what ever you need to make your life easier. I used to detail for a crane company so I know what you went thru.
