Heavily Scratched Plymouth Prowler

Well, I just typed up this thread for the last 20 minuted and deleted it all by accident :wall , so I will make this much shorter.

As you can see, it was heavily scratched. The car has been sitting in a garage for the last 5years collecting dust with all kinds of junk piled on top of it. It was being sold and a potential customer was coming to look at the car the following day, so I was pressed for time on this one.

I tried a couple different products before I decided what combo to use.

My final process was:

Clayed exterior with green Kar Kraft clay bar using Z6 for lube

Z6 wipedown

Buffed complete exterior with 3M Extra Cut compound using a purple foamed wool pad

Buffed top surfaces with SIP using a yellow foam light cutting pad

Buffed complete exterior with Ultrafina using a blue ultrafina pad

Zaino AIO by hand on the plastic bumpers

Danase Wet Glaze by hand (awesome stuff!!)

Meguiars 26 by hand (old school!)

Super Blue dressing on tires and wheel wells

Aquawax on wheels

Complete interior detail

The outside pictures look a little bleached out. I usually take all my pictures on automatic mode, but I think my camers must have been on program mode by accident.

Excellent turnaround Rick! That was very hammered for a car that was sitting in storage. Looks like they used it for a storage shelf with all the sliding scratches that were on it.

Looks like it's ready for a show now! Great work!

Great recovery and honest (accurate) pictorial presentation. Chrysler paint has wonderfully thick clear that allows removal of 90% of most blemishes.

If the potential buyer doesn't purchase it, your dealership will not have any problem selling it now with the re-birth of the paint by you. You definitely increased the value of the Prowler and Spring should be there in a few months. :xyxthumbs

Rick, lots of difficult areas to get to on that car. Must have been a real pain in the a$$. I sure hope Bay State realizes the value that you bring them. :goodjob
