He waited over 3 months, oh joy

Awesome job! Now that I have been doing more work than ever I have been doing a lot of interiors. I agree that they are not my favorite but with the right products and tools it makes it better.

I just used a pet stone this weekend on a Tacoma with a bunch of dog hair. Worked like a charm. A definite must have!

I haven't done much "interior detailing" except for basic wipe downs and vacuuming. I think I might learn to hate it as well. I actually started on my daily driver on Sunday. Man. Wow. I spent THREE hours on it, and didn't even make it past the rear cargo area! It was a mess. Looks pretty good, though.

Thanks for this post. Looks like I'll be adding a few things off your tool inventory, like the pet stone!

I've been eyeing one of those Bissell Little Green Machines, but now you got me thinking about the McCulloch. I had no clue steamers could be so cheap (relatively speaking).

Oh, and nice work!
The mcculloch is a great value but its considerably less powerful thatln the 300 and up ones....I've done some pretty good work with it over the years. Never cleaned the canister either, distilled only. Had it at least 3 yrs.

Made in 'merica too! :) kansas or IN or something midwestern i believe

I just did the entire interior of a Honda odyssey, remived and steamed full weathermats throughout, steamed entire interior and plastic on floor thoroughly And all the seats front/back three rows

i got the triangle ext and brushes for it etc. Its a great intro steamer for the weekend warrior but for instance its not really powerful enough to steam clean an engine effeciently.

I don't like doing interiors but i get much more per hour on them than exterior. People around here in suburbia mainly want interior
.so I'll do it...while dirtier their money is just as green

Not good with the pet hair, so much work. Looks like the story ended happily. Nice job.

You could see how much time and effort this saves..also i found a grout brush works for the areas the pet stone wont reach

Great work! I know hardly anybody "loves" interiors but I take a lot of pride in them. That pumice stone is indeed a lifesaver for pet owner vehicles.

Yes !
You need another brush to get to those areas that a round stone cant get to...
There are several types of silicone-type bristle brushes, sometimes sold in pet stores , and also on Detailing Sites, that make a little static charge that allows you to move the fur, etc., from under the seats, etc., out easily, when the crevice tool and vac cant get it out..

Or sometimes, I use that tool first and then what is left I use the long crevice tool on the vac...

Thanks for bringing this up !

Good job, I would have to agree that after 11 years, interiors are not my favorite, but when I open the door to a "mom mobile" and it's just downright nasty, food, drink, toys, candy all mixed and smashed into the upholstery with the previous weeks fast food, it presents a challenge in a way.

Typically, the end results after a few hours, once you've given it all your might and you've used all the bada$$ toys and chemicals, you get that super happy, great full smile from the client, it makes it worth it in the end.

I still love what I do!

The pumice is nice, the rubber pet brushes .... I'm not a fan of however.

I need to get one of those stones. At the moment i use the rubber brush and it works well, but the stone seems to grab the hair much better and in less motions. I don't mind interiors mainly because the results last longer compared to exterior since as soon as you pull the vehicle out it gets covered in dust and it's a bummer. Also, the client is IN the vehicle while they're driving it, so they get to enjoy that aspect of your work better IMO , if it's a daily driver/mommy van.

Thumbs up on the steamer, i got that same model (paid a bit more for it but still worth it) and it has given great results on interior work. I don't even use an extractor, i know i'll eventually get one for more stubborn spots, but the steamer's results has been a big hit with my customers and once you find the different techniques you can use with it, it becomes even better. That triangle tool, with a white terry cloth wrapped around it ,secured using a large reusable zip tie (tied around the neck of the extension) makes life so much easier when going over all the seats and headliner for sanitation cleaning.
