That was said about the guy at the body shop after this car was repainted

holy cow, never seen a car look this bad in my garage

my camera won`t even fully capture the carnage

holograms, swirls, rids, sanding marks?, :wow: :surrender

there`s no 1 step in the world that will get this coating ready, lol

gonna have to give him a few more options

i didn`t even do a test spot yet. i plan on having the client swing by after i get off work today and do a few test spots

the car reads very high levels of paint which is good but the hood is by far the worst, some areas look like they held the brillo pad attached to the buffer quite long in areas.

also its fiberglass so i cant read it, which sucks

i don`t even think a Rupes blue/yellow two step could save this but I guess I`ll find out

he will most likely not want to pay what I`d charge to do this correctly so I`m gonna offer up a polish, glaze, seal, wax Poorboys coctail (which I`ve been wanting to do for a while anyways)

Job security.

job was booked over a month ago. I guess it had a lot more fillers in it before I did the decon last night because it didn`t look this bad last time I saw it, a few weeks after painting (its been several months since repainted)

job was 1 step (if works out) + PBLv2

im gonna offer him double the quoted price for a two step + same

or the same price for a 1 step and a poorboys trifecta of white diamond, EXC and, Nattys White as I`ve never coated a vehicle with a lot of swirls on it and don`t really want to start now as he is going to a car show in dallas soon so I don`t want people thinking that`s the kind of work I put out

but not going crazy here with free upgrades either

Sounds like a solid plan. Keep us posted! And it shouldn`t need that much work...it was `buffed real good` !!!! LOL

or the ultimate UHS combo test, lol

I am kind of worried of that fiberglass hood since I cant read it but the rest of the paint was reading very thick- I need to recalibrate my PTG just in case but I expect the paint to be nice and thick

What car show?

$$$$, I love those!

meeting with him after I get home and knock out a test panel of 1 step vs two step and see what he says

NOT going overboard on this one, but a good chance to see if I can upsale to the proper paying job

been considering what products to start with all day- lol

Try the UHS. That should make it look much better. Then hit it with PBL. If the UHS doesn`t do the job, glaze then seal. Call it a day.

i`ve tried the uber compound from a sample and really liked how it worked on a bike i did, in fact ill be redoing the bike in a few weeks for storage
