Have a few questions about buying a G110 V2 for Christmas

Hey guys I am planning to buy a Meguiars G110 V2 for Christmas, and needed help determining the proper kit? I was wondering if the kit which included the M105, M205, and burgundy pads would be good for a beginner who is looking for light to medium correction. Also, would the M105 and M205 be difficult for a beginner? Also, would I need smaller pads and a smaller backing plate (like 4") for tighter areas such as pillars, or headlights? *I've done everything by hand before, but now I have finally decided to buy a polisher. I plan to order it tomorrow, so and answer tonight would be great. Thanks.*

ADS has a six-pack special that you may wish to consider. I have found that one needs more pads than one anticipates. You might get three polishing pads, two finishing pads, and one cutting pad, e.g. At least in my limited experience, the Megs' burgundy pad gets used less than the others.

Would this fit my needs well without having to buy anthing else? I also want to restore lightly swirled headlights with the DA, but will I need a smaller backing plate and smaller pads like 4"?

3.5" Dual Action Flexible Backing Plate- porter cable 7424XP hook and loop backing plate 3.5 inch.

Spot Buffing 4 inch pads, Lake country 4 inch pads, 4 inch foam pads, 4 inch ccs pads, ccs foam pads

also, you might want to consider this menzerna kit. it includes the white pads as well...

p.s. if i'm not mistaken, the new G110 V2 comes with a bigger backing plate (W68DA 5.75 in.) than the previous G110. so call and make sure that the 5.5" pads are compatible. otherwise you will need the megs W67DA (4.75 in.) D/A backing plate if you decide to stick with a megs one...

Thanks. The cars I will be working on will be my Mazda Rx8 in Titanium Grey, 2006 Honda Civic in galaxy grey (soft paint), and possibly my dad's grey 2005 BMW 530i which has harder paint I believe. I believe my car's paint is somewhere in between the two, but I have no real clue. Would the kit I posted fit my needs well, if I were to get that, some more white pads, a few spot buff pads, and a backing plate for the smaller pads?
