Has anyone seen the new RainX product?

Its a car wash with carnuba beads in it. I guess the beads squash when you wash your car and they help wax the vehicle. Man, if I had a car that I only washed and waxed once in awhile I might give that stuff a try. I don't get to do much bucket washing so I don't know that it would be of much benefit to me. Has anyone else tried it? I've seen it at AutoZone and FredMeyer so far. I don't see it on the RainX site but I know its out there.

I have seen it :shocked and the beads scare me.

They look like ball bearings in there....I guess for less friction when washing????

I saw it today when I went to walmart to look for some Viking Washmits.. but they didn't have any so I picked up the Eurow Sheepskin washmits (they're soft!)

Has anyone else tried these? I know my old cheapy Detailers Choice washmits aren't this soft.. (I don't think they were even 100% cotton :O)

I haven't seen it yet. I'll try to drive around this weekend and give some of the places a look for it. Does anyone know the name of it? What do it look like?

Ive seen it at every Walmart I go to. Its a clear bottle, which has deep/aqua blue liquid inside it with an almost polka dotta look because it is full of silverish bubbles. Like the suspension bubbles they put in some women's bodywashes if you know what I mean. If you're at a Walmart they only have so many brands of car wash, so you can't miss it. And it says Rain-X in either black or yellow... can remember. I think it might be simply called Rain-X wash and wax but cant recall.

I think the label says that the bubbles contain carnuba. I suppose it cant be a bad product for the average consumer. I know a few people who manually pour in carnuba into their washes with good results.

I'm going to take my camera into autozone today and take a picture of it. I don't think I'd ever use it so I don't want to waste money on buying it. I wish I had a car that I didn't want a hundred layer of sealant on or else I'd buy it and test it. Its odd that it isn't listed on RainX's website yet.

Mission successful!

Looks sort of funny, eh?

Looks just like the stuff I shower with. Gotta have those "vitamin-enriched beads".

For the same effect mix a little vitamin E with your fave car shampoo.

Those little beads are prolly nothing more than some kind of water-soluble gelatin. Won't hurt a thing, IMO.

I don't think that it would hurt your car either. I think its a pretty interesting way to make a wash/wax combo. Very clever IMO. When you can't see the carnuba then you can't really be sure that you are going to get the effect. This way people can tell that there is something extra in the wash and they might be more prone to buy it over some other brand. I think it is very clever marketing. I've always been pretty impressed with the RainX line. Their car wash rivaled Gold Class in my book. Their wax was also very nice. Not great on durability but it had a shine that was very close to Gold Class. :up

I saw it the other day at w-m. Looks cool, not that I would use it, but those little beads sure make's it tempting! Kudos to rain-x's marketing dept.

great idea for people that are not car crazy and just wash there car once in a while (they probley think that is the way to get a wash and wax!)

You gotta love this place.... If your wondering about some product, not only will you only get good information, but they will send the spy cam into the store for a close up........:xyxthumbs
